Welcome to Hooks Cottage

Hook's Cottage, a bed and breakfast in a wonderful woodland setting on the south of Dartmoor National Park.
Where bluebells flower, buzzards fly and you can say hello to the ponies. We have 2 rooms on offer for guests.

Although the house is not far from the A38, the dual carriageway junction is over 2 miles distant and the final stretch of
the journey takes you into the wooded area around the house, with our large pretty garden and woods for B&B guests to enjoy.

Ponies are here most of the time. Our dogs Archie and Cobble enjoy meeting new dog visitors, and Holly the cat welcomes all comers.

A double and a twin. The rooms are connected by a Jack and Jill bathroom which has a bath with shower over. See picture above.
The double room has a wash hand basin, flat screen television and tea making tray. The separate guest toilet is on the same landing.
There is no passing traffic to mar the view here deep in the country. The garden is full of birdsong in the Spring and flowers in the Summer. Our trees provide a richly colourful show in the Autumn and anyone interested in wildlife will find plenty to see.

We love to have young children to stay. Dartmoor's granite tors are ready to climb, the seaside at Teignmouth and Torquay
is only a 20 minute car drive away and Plymouth not much further. Devon has many National Trust properties and special
gardens. Buckfast Abbey is local as well as the 2 great racecourses of Newton Abbot and Exeter.

Our price for bed and breakfast at Hook's Cottage is £65 for two in the double or twin for one night
reducing to £60 for stays of 3 nights or more, and £40 for an adult to stay as a single.
With of course, smaller prices for smaller people.
